Le district scolaire unifié de Visalia utilise une technologie d'IA appelée Lightspeed Alert, qui lui permet d'identifier rapidement les menaces sans intervention ni enquête manuelle. Le logiciel signale les incidents potentiels, des menaces de fusillades dans les écoles aux suicides potentiels.
“I can’t emphasize enough, and how seriously, that Lightspeed Alert saves lives. We have instances where we have gotten the alert, called law enforcement and literally stopped a student from hurting themself,” Judy Burgess, Director of Equity and Student Services said in a statement. “This was for a student we never even expected to have an issue.“
