The CoSN (Consortium for School Networking) 2024 Annual Conference takes place from April 8-10 at the Intercontinental Miami, providing yet another opportunity for attendees to network, share, and learn from one another, and, of course, discover the latest innovations in the edtech space. This year’s theme is “Leading for Innovation at Warp Speed,” and the conference agenda foretells three days of value-added activities for school district IT leaders.

On Tuesday, April 9, be sure to catch the breakout session, “Charting the Course: A Post-ESSER Roadmap to Optimizing Edtech ROI,” running from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm, in the Merrick I meeting room. That session will be facilitated by David Din, Chief Information Officer at Virginia Beach City Public Schools, and Craig Chanoff, Chief Revenue Officer at Lightspeed Systems.  

To make confident technology decisions at warp speed, particularly when facing budget reductions, you need tools and processes at the ready, with real-time analytics and complete visibility. Virginia Beach will share their strategy to ensure technology value (ROI) and privacy alignment, to tackle challenging state budget realities with a focus on optimizing investments for student success. 

CTO Forum

Sponsored by Lightspeed Systems, ClassLink, Zayo, and Charter Communications/Spectrum Enterprise, this is another session that requires pre-registration, and it also is sold out.  

This year’s CTO Forum is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 8:00-10:00 am, and will explore social media in K-12 education, and discussions will center on progress toward K-12 institutions’ dedicated verification and reporting processes from various social media platforms. This interactive session will allow participants to share best practices and learn from colleagues through rich discussion. Education roles of superintendent, head of curriculum, technology, finance, or a building leader should definitely mark this session on their schedules.
